Software and coding for sure!! There are so many jobs right now that we cannot fill because we don’t have enough engineers for the jobs!

Definitely more coding, and ideally offering Engineering as a subject in all schools. It’s the reason I became an engineer!

I would give a lot more information on all the different types of engineers, the different disciplines where engineers are needed and the diverse problems they help to solve.

I studied physics, maths and applied maths and felt I was really prepared when I started engineering in college. I do think coding should have more of a focus but I think that has changed already since I was in school.
I do think it is very important to have engineers visit schools and talk to pupils if teachers get in contact with colleges they will only happily send out speakers. I didn’t know much about engineering and what was involved when I was in school and I think all the different types can be confusing so having invited speakers can really help.

I think some sort of programming should be added because the world is moving more and more towards needing to be able to code to make something work! But even more design classes would be good or some sort of 3D printing!

If possible, I would like to add more science (especially physics) related hands-on experiments to the curriculum. I believe that the students would really enjoy these activities. In some way, this will be fun, but at the same time, more students will attract towards engineering.
