To get finish a PhD (it’s a long study where you get to be a Dr at the end) you have to write a really big report or thesis. It took me years! You also have to give a presentation and defend your work in front of experts in the area you were studying. A professor in engineering came to examine me from France and it was the most challenging presentation I’ve ever done.

Previously, I’ve worked with some biomedical companies and helped develop their devices.

If I’m developing a new material I do mechanical testing on it to make sure the material behaves like human material. For example if I’m making fake skin for the robot, I’ll test it by pulling it, squashing it and tearing it and compare the results and values to how human skin behaves when pulled, squashed or torn.
