Question: would you say limb replacement technologies are at there most advanced piont?

Cillian Thompson answered on 3 Mar 2020:
I don’t have a huge amount of experience in this area but personally I do not think so. There is always going to be room for improvement but from what I know there are some really cool and interesting limb replacement technologies being made where people could have a fully functioning robotic arm that is wired into their brain so they can use it as they would usually use their normal arm .

No, the great thing about engineering is we are learning new things every day and we are continually trying to improve what has been done before.

Nope I think we still have a long way to go before we even really understand how the body works, nevermind actually building something new to replace what’s already there. But we’re making progress all the time!

Not at all, the designs are just getting started! Lots of advancements in technology means we can always improve limb replacement designs

Not actually. In engineering and research, there is always room for improvement. So far, scientists have demonstrated great success in this field; however, still, we have a long way to go.
Yet, the most advanced prostheses cannot replicate the full functionality of natural limbs. So, the next step in this pursuit is to develop a bionic limb, where the mind can control the limbs.
