Solving problems using maths and science. I also love drawing using technical drawing skills and CAD (computer aided design) software and then using 3D printers to see my designs come to life!

I love that I’m always learning new things and solving problems. My favourite is sitting down and discussing out a problem with my co-workers it can be like trying to solve a puzzle it’s fun. Also, you always feel great when you solve it.

Thinking of inventive ways to solve problems. I also love lab work in general, its great when you have an idea in theory and are able to test this in real life in the laboratory- even when it turns out you were wrong (which happens most of the time)- but when you were right, the feeling can’t be beaten!

How many different things you can do – I’ve gone from energy generation to manufacturing to orthopaedics. So many possibilities!

Definitely solving a problem and then seeing the solution work. For me one of the big motivations to get involved in biomedical engineering was to be able to solve health problems and then be able to see the solution that I came up with make a difference in someones life!

My favourite part of being an engineer is getting my brain challenged on a daily basis. Most of the time, it is not possible to solve the problem easily, but when I finally solve the problem, there is no better feeling.
Also, most of my work is related to developing solutions for healthcare applications, and it gives me immense satisfaction that, in some way, my work is making a difference in the world.
